My version of a pep talk

Back in January I sent my first story off to a publisher in the hopes that they would want to publish my story. It’s been three months and I haven’t heard anything. As disappointing as it is, I am not surprised. I love writing. I love writing stories. I know that I will be a published author one day. I know this because I will never give up. But I am also a realist. I know that it can take years to become published. And that is why I know I am doing what I am supposed to. Because no matter how many times I am told, “No,” I will get right back up and say, “YES.” I will be sending my story to a new publishing house this week and crossing my fingers that this one will agree with me.
